Paradise Lost & Regained - a reference to the prospect of a nuclear free Pacific - was created by Another Planet Posters in 1987 for the Australian Nuclear Free Zone Secretariat. Another Planet, a screen print workshop, was established c1984 in Melbourne. In 1992 Another Planet amalgamated with Red Letter Press, a like-minded organisation, under the name Red Planet. Another Planet was active in raising people’s consciousness about the threats to peace in today’s world and the way each and every one of us can contribute to a peaceful and nuclear free future, and worked with a variety of organisations in the peace movement including the Nuclear Free Zone Secretariat. A short history of RedPlanet is located on the website of the State Library of Victoria (https://blogs.slv.vic.gov.au/such-was-life/the-politics-of-poster-making-the-redplanet-archive/) and an extensive archive of Another Planet/RedPlanet’s posters have been digitised by the SLV.
